In May I had the privilege of photographing Cristi and Jonathan’s wedding at the Ebenezer Methodist Church in Roswell. Way back in the day, almost two years ago, I photographed Jonathan’s brother’s wedding as my first solo gig and so I was thrilled that Jonathan’s family invited me back for another wedding! We fought the weather that day, but the clouds opened up and made for a beautiful afternoon perfect for the outdoor backyard reception.

After the ceremony Cristi and Jonathan walked back down the aisle and I turned around in the atrium just in time to catch them embracing, I almost feel bad for photographing such personal moments, but it was such a beautiful moment I had to capture it!

I was done with the big family portrait and everyone was coming down off the stairs when Cristi and Jonathan did this...I kept snapping and no one knew why!

Jonathan was pretty psyched about his pirate cake, and lucky for him it came with matching accesories!

As I was walking around Jonathan’s parents home I noted the lack of photographs on the first floor. The I saw one picture on the fireplace mantle. Upon closer inspection I realized it was a photograph from Jonathan’s brother’s wedding. I was so honored that a picture of mine was on display in their home. It reminded me of why I really enjoy doing this, being able to capture memories that people cherish and hold to high importance is what makes everything worthwhile. Thanks to Cristi, Jonathan and your wonderful families!
