I’d like to present to you a couple whose wedding I am very happy to not be shooting. Not because the bride is a bridezilla, but because I get to play a different role in that wedding as a bridesmaid. The couple is my best friend of thirteen years and her fiance Adam. Kelley and I have been friends since middle school and have done everything from living together under two roofs in college, to traveling abroad together in an ill-fated spring break tour of Bavaria, to spending long summer days at her neighborhood pool. We’ve seen each other through a lot and it’s been very cool to see Kelley and Adam’s relationship blossom and change over the years. We knew a proposal might be just around the corner, but Kelley was still surprised when Adam proposed during his family’s Thanksgiving trip to the beach. I’m proud to say that when they get married in September this will be one wedding where I get to stand beside, rather than in front of the bride. Congrats Kelley and Adam!
Kelley and Adam have been together since we were seniors in high school, and they chose the spot where their prom pics were taken as our photo shoot location. In honor of that, here’s a trip down memory lane, that’s them on the far right end : )
Three Things I’m Loving Today

- Emails from friends. The last few months have been quite eventful and stressful, so receiving little notes of encouragement and conversation from friends and clients has certainly brightened my day on more than one occasion. If you’re reading this, you should send a nice note to someone right now…do it!
